Gaming laptop recommendations - 17", £1500? a été créé par vansu
Hi - I'm looking for a entry-ish level gaming laptop for my daughter...budget is £1000-£1500 and a 17" screen would be good. I was thinking of this one: ASUS TUF A17 17" AMD Ryzen 7 GTX 1660Ti Gaming Laptop
Which seems like the best bang for buck...Ryzen 4800H, 1660Ti (I think it's the full version). Only bad stuff I have read is that the screen isn't the best.
I was also looking at Chillblast (I've bought a desktop from them in the past and I know they are a good seller - 5 year warranty, good support etc) - but their 17" Defiant laptop feels expensive for what you get and the Intel chip seems to suffer by comparison with the Ryzen.
My daughter isn't a heavy gamer (mainly Sims!) but I want to get her something decent...anything else I should consider in my price range?
Is the Ryzen 4800H really that much better than the Intel 10750H in real life?
Oh - there is a bit of time pressure coz her birthday is in 3 weeks!

The Asus Laptop is a very good choice, they have good reputation, the quality seems to be there even if actually it does not have the best screen. If you found the same one with 16gb of RAM, I think it would be perfect. Nevertheless, if your daughter is just playing games like SIMS, this Laptop should do the trick for a very long time.
This Laptop allows you to play and do just about everything you can do with a PC, no worries about performance and durability.
